sleep music

In this blog we look at how sleep music can help induce sleep, the studies that support it and which music may help. If you are struggling to sleep we also detail some of the best supplements that have revolutionised our customers' sleep and helped people suffering from insomnia change in a matter of days! Please do read on if this can help you.

What is sleep music?

Sleep music is a type of music that is specifically designed to help people fall asleep and stay asleep. This type of music is typically characterised by slow, soothing melodies, and a lack of lyrics or distracting sounds. The goal of sleep music is to create a relaxing and peaceful environment that can help the listener relax, unwind, and fall into a deep, restful sleep. Sleep music can include different genres, from classical to nature sounds, white noise, guided meditation, and more. It is often used as background music for sleep-promoting activities, such as yoga, meditation, and reading before bed. Some studies have shown that listening to sleep music can have a positive impact on sleep quality, reducing insomnia, and other sleep disorders, and promoting better overall health.

What are the different types of sleep music?

Sleep music, also known as calming or relaxing music, can be a powerful tool to help you fall asleep and stay asleep. There are a variety of different types of sleep music, each with its own unique benefits.

Deep sleep music, for example, is specifically designed to promote deep, restful sleep. This type of music is often characterised by slow, soothing melodies and a lack of lyrics or distracting sounds. The goal of deep sleep music is to help the listener relax and fall into a deep sleep, allowing the body to repair and rejuvenate itself.

Relaxing music, on the other hand, is designed to help the listener relax and unwind before bed. This type of music may include soft, soothing melodies and gentle instrumental sounds. Relaxing music can help reduce stress and anxiety, making it easier to fall asleep.

Meditation music is another type of sleep music that can be beneficial for people who have trouble sleeping. This type of music is often characterised by slow, calming melodies and gentle instrumental sounds. Meditation music can help to relax the mind and body, making it easier to fall asleep and stay asleep.

Deep Sleep Music

What research supports the use of sleep music?

Research has also shown that sleep music can have a positive impact on blood pressure. Listening to calming music before bed can help reduce blood pressure, which can lead to better sleep. Additionally, sleep music can also help to reduce feelings of anxiety and stress, which can also contribute to better sleep.

One study, published in the Journal of Advanced Nursing in 2010, found that listening to soothing music before bedtime helped to reduce blood pressure in older adults with hypertension. Participants in the study listened to 45 minutes of relaxing music before going to bed for eight weeks, and the researchers found that the music significantly reduced systolic and diastolic blood pressure.

Another study, published in the International Journal of Behavioral Medicine in 2016, found that listening to calming music before bedtime helped to reduce blood pressure and improve sleep quality in adults with hypertension. Participants in the study listened to 30 minutes of calming music before bedtime for four consecutive weeks, and the researchers found that the music significantly reduced systolic and diastolic blood pressure, as well as improved sleep quality.

Again, another very promising study for utilising sleep music.

In summary, these studies and others suggest that listening to calming or relaxing music before bedtime can help to reduce blood pressure and improve sleep quality in people with hypertension. Sleep music can be a powerful tool to help people fall asleep and stay asleep. Whether you prefer deep sleep music, relaxing music, or meditation music, incorporating sleep music into your bedtime routine can have a positive impact on your sleep quality and overall health. Other ideas to help people sleep include reading a book, taking a warm bath or shower before bed, and maintaining a consistent sleep schedule. Reducing time on tablets and smartphones and avoiding blue light can also be an aid to encourage more restful sleep.

FAQs

What CBD oils are best for anxiety?

This is a question which will depend very much on the user. We find just as many of our customers opting for a cbd isolate based oil as we do for those looking at full spectrum or even broad spectrum oils. It is very much a question that is best tested by each person to find which CBD oils work best for them. The common advantage to CBD full spectrum oils are in regards to the well known combination of CBD with other cannabinoids called the entourage effect. The combination of other cannabinoids with CBD are said to interact with one another to have a more profound impact. However on the flip side, we find many customers who want the purest form of CBD with no further cannabinoids and for these users a CBD isolate remains their best bet.

How much CBD oil should I take?

So this brings us full circle to the heading of the blog post. Well to be honest, ultimately it depends. If you are a new user, we would typically suggest trying a CBD isolate oil and going for a small dosage in the region of 10mgs. You can then build this up over the following days and weeks to test your tolerance and see how your body reacts up to a limit of 70mg. We always remind people that you can dose far higher than this, and there are studies that have supported its safety profile as high as 1500mg per day, but we would certainly not suggest anyone to do that!

I’ve taken CBD in small doses before but now I want to try CBD for anxiety, so what do you suggest?

For a more seasoned CBD user, we might suggest trying a broad spectrum of full spectrum CBD oil but would still look to start small with a dosage in the 10-25mg category. This allows any user to build up overtime and to really test how the CBD interacts with your body and if it really aids your sleep.

Can I take CBD everyday?

Yes, you can take CBD everyday and in fact building up CBD in your system overtime can give some of the greatest benefits as opposed to one-off dosages.

Which CBD Oil is best?

We like to think variety is an important factor, and that is one reason at Associated CBD we try to hold a wide variety of CBD strengths, types and products! There is no best CBD out there, it is about what works best for you and your body.

Are there studies that can support CBD helping with anxiety?

Yes, there are plenty of studies that support CBD having effects on anxiety and many of our customers have left positive reviews for how it has supported them in this way. Some of our  blogs look in more detail at these studies.

Is CBD oil safe?

Yes, it is perfectly safe and legal to consume and all our products have a legal limit of THC below 0.2% and lab reports are available for all our CBD products.

Will CBD get me high?

No, CBD will not get you high as CBD is not the psychoactive element of Cannabis Sativa group of plants that gives the “high”. This is the THC element and all our CBD products for pain relief contain less than 0.2% THC as legally permitted in the UK.

CBD bath bombs UK

In this blog we are going to focus on a craze that has taken over the UK and quite rightly, the CBD bath bomb! CBD bath bombs UK combine some of the benefits touted for CBD including things like reducing stress, alleviating anxiety and aiding sleep and then combining these with the relaxation benefits of a warm scented bath. At Associated CBD we are looking to grow our CBD bath bomb collection and already sport a rather large range of CBD bath bombs UK as well as a number of CBD bath salts and CBD relaxation aids!

What is a CBD bath bomb?

A CBD bath bomb is in short, a soothing soap infused with CBD typically in the shape of a sphere. It is dropped into water, usually the bath and will foam as it releases its ingredients and luxurious scents into the bath water. It provides an aromatherapy-like benefit with many CBD bath bombs including scents such as Lavender, Bergamot, Eucalyptus or Jasmine. A warm and relaxing bath, with gorgeous scents and CBD, what’s not to like!

What are the benefits of CBD bath bombs?

A warm bath after a long day at work, or a hard gym session has huge benefits in helping the body to relax and allowing you to switch off and recuperate. A CBD bath bomb gives you all the benefits of a warm bath, but you also receive the bubbles and the beautiful scents that can help take you into a deeper state of relaxation. Beyond this the infusion of CBD into the bath water can also be absorbed and provide some of the potential benefits of CBD that so many millions of customers in the UK and abroad swear by! The key reasons people take CBD include reduced anxiety, reduced stress, pain reduction and improved sleep!
